Associate Legal Counsel

Duties & ResponsibilitiesoCoordinate legal demands from the units (fiduciary, funds and operations) internally, with head office, Ita 's affiliates and external counseloDrafting, reviewing and amending a wide range of documents including, but not limited to, trust deeds, service agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, general terms and conditions, corporate documents, private placement memorandum, administration agreements oDrafting legal letters and memorandaoPrepare corporate minutes and presentationsoRespond to regulators, internal and external auditsoAssisting with research and advice regarding regulatory and legal issuesoAssisting with effecting necessary procedural changes based on legislation and the bank's guidelines and directivesoAssisting with any legal concern arising from the fiduciary structures under the bank's administrationoKeep updated on regulatory developments in the business' jurisdiction (Bahamas & Cayman Islands) and in other jurisdictions which may impact the units; knowledge of banking, trust, security and tax laws applicable to the businessoAssisting with regulatory and Group reportingoOrganize and maintain legal filesoCompliance with BTRA/AML/CFT laws, rules, regulations and the bank's AML/CFT policies and proceduresoAny other duties as assignedQualificationsoBachelor of Laws (LLB) degreeoMust be admitted to The Bahamas Bar.
oUp to 3 years of experience at law firm or legal department, preferably on banking/securities/corporate lawoExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsoExcellent business, analytical, interpersonal & legal writing skillsoMust be fluent in English and helpful if fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish Recommended Skills Administration Analytical Banking Services Confidentiality Corporate Laws English Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
